PODCASTS HAVE COME TO PAGEFREE!
If you have watched television in the past year, you won't have missed the newest trend in audio gadgetry, the Apple iPodTM, and its impact on the Internet, namely Podcasts. Named for the combination of iPodTM and broadcasting, Podcasts are delivered through such popular interfaces as iTunesM. Listeners may subscribe to a series and will be automatically notified as each new episode becomes available. They then have the option of downloading the episode onto their desktop computer or their personal iPodTM.
PageFree is initiating the first POD Podcast (print on demand iPod newscast) and will cover topics of interest to those in the publishing industry. Designed as primarily informational, authors may avail themselves of advertising time to be included in each broadcast.
The POD Podcast is distributed free of charge and the audience is unlimited. The first episode, "Traditional or Self-Publishing, Which is for Me?" is available at the link below. This is streaming media in an mp3 format and even dial-up connections will be able to listen. Most systems with Windows already are loaded with a built-in mp3 player, the Windows Media Player so simply clicking on the link should begin the 21-minute broadcast. We would enjoy your feedback, please email sales@pagefreepublishing.com with your comments or interest in advertising space if so desired.
See you in print!

HELP US WELCOME ELIZABETH TRENTON...
PageFree is most honored to announce the addition of Elizabeth Trenton to our staff. Elizabeth, who hails from the maze of traditional publishing wherein she doffed caps from the halls of acquisitions and publicity, she will now apply her energetic talent, connections and knowledge to advising PageFree authors and representing the company at various professional events. She will be a regular contributor to our newsletter, so watch for her valued input.
While Elizabeth has been on board surreptitiously for the past month becoming acquainted, in particular, with PageFree's new Hidden Treasure Books marketing program, she was moved into full action quite recently upon the abrupt departure of former marketing director, Janet Elaine Smith. Janet, who has conducted some new author recruitment for the past few years is wished well by our staff but will no longer be affiliated in any manner with our company.
As Vice-President of Marketing and Coordinations Director, Elizabeth will primarily lend her presence to Internet and live-world promotions of PageFree services and publicity for authors. She will head up the massive and anticipated Hidden Treasure Books marketing program where her traditional publishing expertise is expected to increase the momentum and viability of this industry-first penetration of digitally-published authors into retail arenas.
"I initially contacted PageFree seeking a professional yet practical solution for some of our house niche projects and our working relationship opened my eyes to opportunity. I approached PageFree with a private proposal and, well, here I am!" noted the enterprising Elizabeth.
You can contact Elizabeth by email at elizabethtrenton@pagefreepublishing.com. Although she is based in her home state, she will be a networked presence and intends to spend a considerable amount of time in travel.
Elizabeth...welcome!
